Jacinto Castaneda was born and raised in Mexico where he studied in the music conservatory of Veracruz University. He draws heavily from his Afro-Carribean roots and discovered rock and blues at an early age. He had a very successful career as the singer and bassist of the reggae band "Splash" touring extensively throughout Mexico and Europe and performing in Jamaica's Sunsplash alongside  Reggae legends such as Julian Marley, Chalice, Steel Pulse and Unique Vision."Splash" has recorded three albums.
Jacinto is a gifted songwriter and musician. He is involved in several musical projects and currently resides in San Diego where he performs regularly in his duet 45 Revolutions.
